How it works

STEP 1: EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

We schedule an appointment with an Energy Specialists to visit the PG&E customer in their home. They verify income qualifications /or aid assistance and provide the customer with energy-saving education. A pre-assessment of the home is completed to determine which weatherization measures can be installed by a CHOC technicain.

STEP 2: WEATHERIZATION AND DELIVERY

We schedule an appointment for the Weatherization Specialist to install energy-saving measures that will assist in further cost savings. They conduct any natural gas appliance tests for safety. For those customers that qualify, a refrigerator contractor will deliver a new refrigerator.

STEP 3: PG&E INSPECTIONS

PG&Eā€™s Central Inspection Program may inspect selected residences to ensure safety after the weatherization has been completed by CHOC technicians.
